This blog is just not flowing the way the others did, I’ve literally attempted it 7 times! Now I am asking, why?
I was pressured into doing a blog that explained the Kit, and how it works for me, using words Google would pick up, “rewards” “Good behaviour” etc.
This was not sitting right with me because
A. It felt like a sales pitch.
This is not what my blogs are for, they are for a taste of my life and my reality, not about the Butterfly Spy to sell sell sell!!
B. Our Butterfly has been back two weeks, and there has been ups and downs along the way, most of which I can’t remember. I don’t want to paint and unrealistic picture here. Parents have enough pressures without other parents portraying an unrealistic reality! That is not me! I am about keeping it real! (I mean, you just need to watch my video to see that)!
For example, today, I made a chicken caesar salad for lunch. I made home made gluten free croutons, (my husband is a coeliac), I roasted a chicken, fried bacon, washed and chopped lettuce and tomato and served the most amazing chicken caesar salad ever! This is not normal! Saturday/Sunday I rarely cook, I’m all about frozen pizza, waffles fish fingers and take away! But some days, it all comes together and I just kick ass and feel great! Other days, I barely make the school run, come home and watch Dr Phil riddled with guilt, but fight through that guilt all the way to “Good Morning” and sometimes even “Loose Women”!
Anyway, true story, our Butterfly, Binky came back, the boys have gone from getting up constantly for about 2 hours, to staying in bed! It has been amazing!! We have needed it! We have both been so tired and stressed lately that had it kept going, we would of gone mental! So boys have earned their bronze and silver tokens, they have had their cycle and track time, and are onto gold for a night in the tent!
I can honestly say our spy is amazing, and it works so well! We have had a few nights where the boys did act up, no stars were earned, and we have had a few nights where we forgot about it totally. What I have learned is, you get out what you put in. The most successful nights are the ones when the phones are away, television is off, and half an hour is devoted purely to the bedtime routine.
So this is not my hard sell blog, this is just a Mam, with a Butterfly that makes my life a little easier, and I’m all about that!
