Took the boys to Barcelona for three days, and then Salou for a week.
We had an absolute ball, definitely recommend Barcelona with the kids, so much to see and do for children!
Salou was great, pool was freezing, so we kept busy, karting, theme park, I managed to squeeze in two hours shopping!
Pre kids, great weather or not, used to define a good or bad holiday. Back then the sole purpose of going was to lay by the pool, tan, read, nap, eat, drink, repeat.
Now, I’m not cooking dinners, or making/packing lunches, grocery shopping, ironing (don’t do much of this anyway, but the guilt is there) I’m not doing school runs, or homework and I have Dad around to help with the meltdowns, so for me, good weather is just a bonus!
So we are home now nearly two weeks, I literally unpacked yesterday, boys been late for school most mornings, and the warm fuzzy holiday feeling is well and truly gone!
Now remains the 10lbs to loose and the credit card to pay off!
Hello being a grown up! If only the teenager knew what’s ahead, I bet he would of smiled more!
